Everything felt very love and peace with Lennart. He was quiet and kind. He would never consciously hurt anyone, I am sure. He had been born 30 years too late -he would have been the ultimate flower child.
While he appeared to stay away from confrontations there was still something different about Lennart; he wasn't the typical guy. Or as we say in Holland: "he wasn't little house, little tree, little animal" (huisje, boompje, beestje) -which is the epitome of petit bourgeois "normalcy". There was something of the Alternative in him, which you picked up in between all the kindness. So flower child with an edge, I guess.
While straight himself Lennart did radiate a quiet sensuality which could go any and all ways. There's a reason why the unicorn has been embraced by the gay community....
